Queensland Metal Spinners Pty Ltd is a metal working company based in Underwood, which is a suburb of Brisbane central business district in Queensland, Australia. It was started in 1990 by Brian Peckham as Brisbane Metal Spinners and now employs around 30 people at its factory in Brisbane.
QLD Metal Spinners started out with metal spinning, but now have diversified into deep drawing and pressing [metal stamping] to offer a broader range of machining services.
The company provides metal spinning or turning services for aluminium, copper, brass, cold rolled steel, hot rolled steel and stainless steel. Depending on the quantity & finish required, the company can provide manual spinning or Automatic Metal Spinning on M&M Tracktronic Automatic Metal Spinning Lathe. The other turning or spinning machines are a Smart Spin Automatic Lathe, 9 Hand Metal Spinning Lathes and 2 Swaging Lathes.
With the metal stamping & pressing division in place, the company can cater to a wider range of services like blanking, piercing, forming and drawing. The machinery and equipment for Metal Stamping & Deep Draw Pressing deployed at the factory are as follows; a180T Hydraulic Press, 70T Inclinable Press, 80T Inclinable Press, a 30T Inclinable Press, 35T Inclinable Press, 2 35T Presses With Feeders and a Notching Press.
